Student Health is located on-campus and is dedicated to meeting the unique needs of undergraduate and graduate students, with an emphasis on prevention. We see all students regardless of their insurance. Appointments are included in student fees. Additional charges for labs, vaccines, etc. may be paid via cash or credit card. FLU VACCINES NOW AVAILABLE BY APPOINTMENT $18. Aetna Student Health will reimburse the full amount with a claim form. VACCINE REQUIREMENTS - All new students (undergraduate and graduate) are REQUIRED to have two MMR vaccines and the Tetanus vaccine. Students under 22 are required to have the Meningitis ACYW vaccine . All students must complete a screening questionnaire for tuberculosis and complete testing if needed. The Meningitis B vaccine is highly recommended for undergraduate students. A child or student who has not received the required immunizations for reasons of conscience, including religious beliefs, may be excluded from school in times of emergency or epidemic. Starting in the fall of 2018, students with Aetna Student Health may receive full reimbursement for STI testing once per school year at student health. Please schedule an appointment for testing and to review coverage. Students do not need to be enrolled in the Rice sponsored Aetna insurance plan to utilize Student Health services. We do not file or bill insurance. Students or parents with concerns about privacy should review the information on the Registrar's webpage regarding FERPA . Health services does NOT require any privacy forms unless a student is under 18 upon arrival. This form is available under the New Students Section. The student health hold will be for equipment (crutches, blood pressure monitors, etc.) check out that is overdue. Please bring back your equipment or call to make payment to have the hold removed. The ME hold is for the Health Data Form. This hold will be in place until your Health Data Form has been received and processed by our office The VA hold is for the meningitis vaccine. This hold will remain in place until you have provided documentation of the vaccine (if under age 22). Location & Hours LOCATION We are located in the Morton L. Rich Student Health and Wellness Center located next to the Brown Magister's House off Entrance 27b. The building is indicated as building #30 on the campus map . Student parking is available at Entrance 27. OFFICE HOURS Fall and Spring Semesters : Monday - Friday 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. closed for lunch 12:00-12:30 daily.
